  • This network longs to take the Gospel not only to the people in our own campus' and cities, but also to the people in campus' and cities across the country and world. What's our strategy you ask? It's simple... A nearly 2000-year technique called CHURCH PLANTING! Come hear about how you can partake in the expansion of God's Kingdom and for the extended Q&A session with our panel of church planters.

    ----------------------------------------------

    GRAND BALLROOM 1

    SPEAKERS:

Aaron Whitaker - "Aaron was just a weird, lanky, blond boy when he walked onto the University of Cincinnati's campus in 2015. And while all three of those things are still true about Aaron, a lot has changed since that day. During his time at UC, God used H2O Cincinnati to lead him to Christ and Aaron was called onto staff at Cincinnati in 2019. In the fall of 2022, Aaron and his wife Stephanie moved with a team to the University at Buffalo to plant one of our two newest H2O churches. Aaron enjoys sports, bagels, and external processing."

Matthew McClure - "Any and every thing wise or helpful Matthew has said about church planting he stole from either people smarter than him or his friends who’ve planted churches (who are also smarter than him). It was he and his wife Tiffany’s joy to help plant H2O Kent State and then, after moving to BG, to see that church send out the YSU team. He helped send out the OU team most recently. He currently serves as the Assistant Church Planting Director of Collegiate. Bryan Wiles is the Director and he’ll tell you to add the words “to the” in the middle of Matthew's title.

Jill Beebe - "Jill Beebe has been a part of the H2O Church Network since it was still a fledgling church at BGSU and has served for over 20 years as a volunteer, associate staff, full-time, and currently part-time staff. In her time with H2O Church she has helped to send off many church plants by preparing teams with administrative, graphic design, and MTD coaching assistance. She currently serves as one of the directors at the H2O Athens church plant (2021), reaching students at Ohio University. Jill resides with her husband and three children in Zanesville, OH and enjoys teaching local painting classes in the evenings."

Brooke Davis - "Brooke Davis has been on staff since 2018 and currently serves H2O Church at Youngstown State University, one of our network's newest church plants having just planted in the Fall of 2022. Don’t let her Master's degree in Church Planting fool you –– she is learning the church planting ropes as she goes along with her team! Brooke finds joy in running, biking, reading, and learning the latest Gen Z jokes and trends, so if you see her around, teach her something new."

Kevin Cody - "Kevin is husband to Julie, dad to Hannah, Micah, and Isaac, and pastor at H2O Indiana, a church plant in its 5th year. He was previously part of the planting team at H2O Columbus and was even born into a church plant (true story)! He drinks coffee, cheers for the Cubs, and enjoys hiking in the Rockies. He's been to math camp (twice), in the pit crew of demolition derbies, attacked by a wolf, and fallen into the crevasse of a glacier; all of which are both factually true and also metaphors for his experiences in church planting, which he loves and would do 100 times again."

  • Jesus showed us the ultimate example of servant leadership. How much of this

example should we seek to imitate? What role does ambition play in our leadership pursuits?

We’ve seen many headlines over the past decade of church leaders abusing power and

authority for personal gain (even personal gain masked as church growth). Come join a

discussion about Jesus and how He wants us to lead.

    ----------------------------------------------

    GRAND BALLROOM 2/3

SPEAKERS: Jason Slack and Jared Lentz (H2O Kent State)

  • In this workshop we’re talking Reconciliation with the Church… IN the Church. After the last couple years, when we may feel so torn and divided by political views, social views and individual ideals… is it possible to disagree about these things and still love each other and respect each other as the Church? Let's talk about how to be the loving, authentic, and messy Church Christ called us to be.

    ----------------------------------------------

    GRAND BALLROOM 4

SPEAKERS: Sarah Burchfield and Caitlyn Gustafson (H2O Toledo)

Each speaker has unique experiences and stories that will inspire you to live a life on mission and practical next steps to take in obedience to God.
